It was the night before Hallowe'en and all through the house,...alright,
alright I'll start over! It was the night before Hallowe'en and
my friends and I were getting ready for tomorrow's Hallowe'en
party. So there were my friends, Avery, Jen, Nikki, Bonnie, Jessica
and I trying to figure out what we were going to wear to the party.
After about five hours of us talking about everything left
and right Avery's and Jen's boyfriends Jim and Todd came and picked
them up. The rest of us just stayed at my house.
That night we went to spy on Avery, Jim, Todd, and Jen
and found them at a MacDonald's going through the drive-thru getting
a bite to eat. So we decided to go in and get a bite to eat ourselves.
As we were in MacDonald's we heard a news bulletin over the town
radio station that said, "Warning to all citizens. There
is a psyco-maniac that has escaped from a nearby penitentery and
he has a number of weapons on him. So please lock all doors tonight
and just make sure everything is alright."
Now, being the night before Hallowe'en, we all just figured
that this was some prank that the radio station was putting on.
But just to make sure we all carried a cellular phone on us.
And when we left the others, they told us to call them about every
half-an-hour.
The last time we called them they said that they were going
to watch the stars and then go home. So from then on we did not
call each other. And after about two hours the rest of us went
home.
When I got home I wanted to make sure that Avery and Jen
were home safe or at least on their way. First of all I called
Avery's house and no one answered, then I called Jen's house and
no one answered there either. So I called them on their cellular
and one of them answered and I just told them that I was wondering
where they were.
The next morning I heard on the radio that Jim and Todd
were killed by this psycho guy. I immediately called Jen and
Avery, and their parents said that they were out at the murder
scene on top of the hill. Right away the first thing that popped
into my mind was that was where they were watching the stars.
So I threw some clothes on and went out to the scene.
When I got out there I saw Jen and Avery just crying their
eyes out and I knew why but didn't understand how they were murdered.
After about an hour I finally got to talk to them privately and
take them home. As we were going home they explained to me how
Jim and Todd died and what had happened last night.
This is exactly what they told me.
It all started when they couldn't start their car when they were
getting ready to leave. So the guys walked to town to get a mechanic.
Before they left they told Jen and Avery that they would knock
on the window to let them know that it was them. Since they were
gone so long Jen and Avery decided to lay down and wait for them.
While they were waiting they kept hearing this scratching noise
on the roof of the car and would not get out of the car to check
what it was because they just figured that it was a twig from
a tree rubbing up against the roof. Finally the two fell asleep
and left the radio on for some company.
All of the sudden they hear this knocking on the window
and right away woke up because they thought that it was Jim and
Todd. When they looked up they saw a police officer standing there
knocking on the window telling them to get out of the car. So
Avery and Jen got out of the car and they saw Jim and Todd hanging
from a rope that was tied to a tree and realized that the scratching
that they had heard last night was the finger nails of Jim and
Todd scratching on the roof!
