George feels several things after Lennie's
death.
On the one hand he lost a very good friend
who was nearly like a son or a family for him, that's why he's not only
disappointed because Lennie kills Curley's wife, he's also sorry for him
anf feels guilty. And George knows that he lost his only true friend with
whom he wanted to realize his dream and remembers only the good things
now.
On the other hand George
will feel free in the future, he'll have more contact with others,
maybe a better job and a family. Moreover he can go to any place or bar
he likes.
But it isn't sure if he's gonna be happy
now, because he'll never again have a friend like Lennie , who admired
and loved George .
