James Moloney was born in Sydney in 1954. While a fan of film and
television, he admits to not liking books as a child and didn't start to read until his later years at
school. His first book Crossfire wasn't published until 1992. He reveals that didn't
really start writing seriously until later because he was gathering life
experience.
