About us, the 11c of the KGS Wiesmoor:

Maybe you don't have a clue where Wiesmoor is? You can find it in the northwestern peninsula of Germany, it's in Ostfriesland or East Frisia.

Well, you should probably see a picture of us all at the beginning, but you can get some photos showing us "at work" further below!

"The official picture":

that's us:-)

And this is us working:

We are 16 to 18-year-old boys and girls and live in and around Wiesmoor.

Two months ago, we (11c) from the KGS-Wiesmoor (a comprehensive school) began to read the science fiction novel „The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy“ by Douglas Adams with our English teacher, Mr. Tobiassen.

Our ideas and expectations were very different – some of us read all the time, others hardly touch a book at all, if they can help it. Some of us can speak (and write) English very well, others have a lot of problems with the language.

At first we thought that the book was very bizarre and complicated and some of us even read the German version parallel to the English edition. Twice we had a little test which has been very difficult for us, but at the end it made it easier for us to understand.

Last but not least we’d like to say that the work has been very hard and occasionally high brow, but we can be proud of the result, we think.
