Adams the author of HHGG died at the age of just 49







Douglas Noel Adams, the author of many books, was born on the eleventh March 1952 in Cambridge.

In his school- time he was educated to Brentwood school and St John’s College in Cambridge. In 1974 he gained a BA and later a MA in English Literature. 1979 to 1980 he was an editor at BBC. At the same time (1979) he published his book “Hitch- Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and 1980 “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe”. 1982 Adams published his new book “Life, the Universe and Everything”; two years later he published the Book “So long and thanks for all the fish”. The last two books in the eighties were “Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency” (1987) and “The long dark Tea- Time of the Soul” (1988). 1991 he married Jane Elisabeth Belson and one year later he published his book “Nastily harmless”. 1994 his daughter Polly Jane Rocket was born. In his long career he also had contact to “Monty Python” and Adam’s “Hitch- Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” started as a radio series. Before he died, he and his family lived in Islington.

On eleventh May 2001, Douglas Noel Adams died of a heart attack in a fitness centre.
